Terms and conditions

Our refund policy is very simple on vizualworks.com.

100% money back to the client if work is not completed by a freelancer.

If client releases milestones for the work that was completed for that milestone, those milestones monies will be nonrefundable. Therefore it is always important to release milestones only when the client is 100% satisfied. In an event that there was a misunderstanding or miscommunication, a dispute can be filed by the client and vizual works will investiage the matter and resolve the issues between the client and the freelancer.

When a client is found to be not at fault, they will get 100% refund and no fees will be charged for the project. The freelancer on the other hand will be charged a project fee and a penalty. On the other hand, if a freelancer is found to be not at fault, then the client will get no refunds.

If a freelancer applies for a job which they are not capable of finishing, vizualworks LLC will take over the project and work with the client to help complete the project. The freelancer who applied for the project will then be penalized by vizualworks LLC.  Therefore, it is always important for freelancers to be 100% sure that they can complete a project before accepting the project.

Selling safely on our platform

1. Steer clear from customers who want samples, trials, etc.

If customer wants you to do some work and asks for samples before they reward you their project, then you shouldn't work with such clients. All clients should follow the same rules of posting their projects and allow freelancers time to access the project and negotiate fairly. After negotiating with the client, the workstation platform should be used to update the client on the progress of the work. There is no need to send samples or give free trials. Remember, every freelancer has a profile page with enough samples to help the client hire a freelancer for their project.

2. Does the project sounds too good to be true?

If the offers for the project sounds too good to be true then steer away from such clients. No client will pay you amazingly to do nothing. Remember, the clients are on vizualworks.com to save money. Always keep that in mind and negotiate with the clients fairly

3. Always make sure that the client has enough money before work begins

Don't start a project unless the client has loaded enough money on their escrow account and set up their milestones. This process is put in place to protect buyes and sellers. ONLY DELIVER work after you have received 100% payment for all work that has been done for the client

4. ONLY CHAT on vizualworks.com

This is very important because vizualworks.com will use their communications to settle any disputes, and confusions that may arise between a buyer and a seller. Keeping communication on the platform will also help users to keep track of all communications.

5. Get paid through Vizualworks.com

Do not receive payment outside of the vizualworks.com community. Paying outside vizualworks.com is very dangerous. There will be no invoice, no evidence, and this can leave a seller unprotected. If any freelancer does business outside of vizualworks.com, then that freelancer will get no support from vizualworks.com if there is any dispute between the freelancer and a client.

Vizual Works’s abides by the U.S. tax regulations that govern U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) withholding regulations for payments to our non-U.S. artists (those considered "Non-Resident Aliens" according to IRS code). As a result of this analysis, we are clarifying our tax withholding policy regarding artists in countries with which the United States has tax treaty agreements.

In order to be fully compliant with U.S. tax regulations, the IRS requires that all Non-Resident Alien (NRA) artists who wish to enjoy tax treaty benefits have a U.S. Taxpayer Identification Number. Individuals who wish to enjoy these benefits will need an Individual Tax Identification Number, (ITIN), while foreign entities that are not individuals (such as foreign corporations and foreign partnerships) will need an Employer Identification number (EIN) on file with Vizual Works. Those who do not have such a number on file will be subject to the IRS statutory rate of 30% withholding on their U.S.-Source income. Foreign Source Income is not subject to tax withholding.

We believe that this interpretation allows us to be in full compliance with U.S. tax law. Just to be clear: Vizual Works receives no benefit from this policy, and our only interest is in helping affected artists to file the appropriate documentation.
